Toddler 1:15 (maximum of 15 kids per class)
Preschool 1:8 (maximum of 16 or 24 kids)
Kindergarten: 1:13 (maximum of 19 kids)
School Age: 1:15 (maximum of 15 kids)
All teachers at Alpha’s are qualified Early Childhood Educators (ECE) registered with the College of ECEs or Early Childhood Assistants (ECA). All staff are trained in First Aid/CPR and have a clear Criminal Reference check on file.
Yes, we offer parents flexibility to attend 2-5 days per week for full days or half days or in our Nursery School program
We are closed on all statutory holidays only.
Yes, our program includes lunch as well as two nutritious snacks (morning and afternoon) in addition to milk and water. Parents do not bring food into the facility unless approved by the Supervisor in advance.
Children enrolled in a full day program will nap for 2 hours in the afternoon. A child who does not sleep will be provided with quiet activities at this time.
Yes, all children attending a child care facility in the Region of Peel must provide proof of immunization when the child is registered. If the child is not immunized, the centre will require proof of a valid exemption from the doctor.
Children must be immunized against diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, measles, mumps, rubella and haemophilus influenza type B (Hib). Please refer to the Region of Peel website for further details.
In order to prevent the spread of infection, we ask that parents do not bring a sick child to the centre. Children need to be able to participate in all aspects of the program including outdoor time.
To ensure the safety of all the children in our care, we do not allow any items into the centre with nuts or nut products.
You will need to provide diapers, wipes, creams, a blanket, sleep toy, a sippy cup and an extra set of clothing.
No, we will work on toilet training with your child when your child shows readiness. The teacher will encourage the child to sit on the toilet at routine times throughout the day without any pressure. Our teachers work closely with the parents to ensure potty training is a positive experience.
You will receive verbal and digital daily reports (through an app called HiMama) from your child’s teacher about their day and any achievements. You will receive real-time photo updates of your child throughout the day as well as any messages from the teacher. Your child will also receive two progress reports throughout the year. These progress reports let you know how your child is progressing according to our documented learning objectives and their stage of development.
Yes, we issue tax receipts for all fees which can be used to reduce your income taxes.
Fees remain the same regardless of absence due to stat holiday or illness. Parents are allowed 2 weeks vacation per family each year. The rate charged for vacation weeks is 50% of the regular fees.
Fees are paid biweekly. We accept e-transfer or pre-authorized debit as methods of payment.
Our security deposit and registration fee is not refundable. If you choose to cancel your registration for any reason, you will forfeit your security deposit.
We require written notice of withdrawal at least 28 days in advance. Please note that regular payment is required for the last 28 days of care.
